Services
Are you interested in a 1-on-1 pottery class on the wheel or by hand? If so, please feel free to send me a message. I look forward to hearing from you!
It's great that you would like to have your ceramics fired at my studio! To ensure your pieces turn out perfectly and make it through the firing process safely, please note the following points:
- Registration: Please register with me in advance so that I can optimally plan the kiln cycles.
- Pick-up: For safety reasons, I unfortunately cannot ship fired goods by mail. Please bring your pieces over and collect them again after they have been fired.
Bisque firing (980 °C – 1050 °C)
- Bring me the ceramics in a leather-hard state; this reduces the risk of breakage during transport.
- Bring me crack-free pieces. Any cracks will only worsen during firing.
- Note down the exact specifications of the clay and the firing temperature.
- Ensure that all ceramics are marked with your name or initials.
Glaze firing (1186 °C – 1250 °C)
- Clean the bases well with a sponge. The bottom and rim must be glaze-free for approx. 3 mm to prevent any additional costs for you due to damage to the kiln or other objects.
- Note down the exact firing temperature of your glaze and your clay.
Various special firings (e.g., gold)
- By arrangement
