Discharge the amethyst gemstone every two to four weeks under cold running water and charge overnight (preferably under full moon energy). Do not place in the sun as it will lose its purple color due to direct exposure to UV rays. Smoking with white sage, copal or palo santo is suitable for energetic purification.
